What Is Up With The Red Frog ?

I think it’s a fair question. Many have asked, “Where did your name come from?” or “Why did you name your travel agency after a cartoon frog?” Red Frog Travel. A unique travel agency with a funny logo. Allow me to begin by explaining who we are, where we came from, and where we are going.

We are Charlie and Ladean Cooper. I am Charlie, your (somewhat) fearless leader on this journey. I graduated high school, went straight into the military, and then went into restaurant management, where I have been since 1998. I am still in restaurant management, but working my way out through starting my own travel agency. My partner, Ladean, has been my wife for nearly a decade. She has been in retail management for 24 years. I have traveled extensively my whole life (both through the military as well as personal), and since we were married in 2010, Ladean and I have traveled together A LOT. From cruises, to Disney vacations, to the Smokey Mountains, to just hopping in the car and taking road trips, we have experienced numerous travel adventures. Our goal with Red Frog Travel is to take our passion for travel and use it to help others find their perfect vacation or destination.

So, where did the infamous “Red Frog” come from? That, my friends, is a very funny story. I must have been a pirate in a previous life, because rum is my go-to drink. I can add rum to almost everything. And one of my favorite things to do in the Caribbean when we visit, is to come home with a variety of local rums. Having said that, most of our cruises have been on Carnival Cruise Lines. In fact, when we became travel agents, our first 9 vacation bookings were with Carnival. It is a great cruise line. My favorite spot on ANY Carnival cruise ship is the Red Frog Rum Bar and Red Frog Pub. The red frog seemed perfect for us. Frogs hop, just as we like to hop around the islands in the Caribbean. The “Red Frog” pays homage to our favorite watering hole on one of our favorite cruise lines.
